Jeanette Burgess

Jeanette worked for 25 years in the Public Sector, during which time she completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree at the Australian National University in Canberra, before becoming an Accredited Quicken Trainer in January 1998 and setting up her own business. Initially running under her own name, she decided to register a business name in September 2003 and launched Track-N-Train in March 2004.

Qualifications and Experience

In addition to the BCom mentioned above, Jeanette has completed Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and Certificate IV in Business (Small Business Management).

She is the longest serving Quicken Accredited Trainer in the Illawarra region and services clients throughout the South Coast and Southern Highlands regions, as well as Goulburn and Yass.

Services

Jeanette can assist accountants to become more familiar with the functionality of the Quicken range of programs so that they can better assist their clients with using them more effectively and efficiently. She can setup their clients' data files to suit the accountant's requirements, check the existing setup and instruct in data entry. Because accountants are usually very busy she can assist them by checking the client's data entry prior to lodgment of the BAS and make any necessary changes to the data. As an accountant who has done tax work, she understands the needs of the busy accounting office and can assist in building stronger relationships between the accountant and their clients.

For the business owner or manager she can review an existing setup - checking the Chart of Accounts and usage of Tax Codes to ensure that correct data entry and reporting. Instruction in preparation of invoices, paying bills, preparation of payroll, reconciliation of bank accounts and taxation and financial reporting requirements are all part of the training process, which can be done in our training room or at the client's premises if this is more convenient.
